 The
25,000 Mile Oil Change
It sounds simple, doesn't
it? Just change the oil every 25,000 miles or once per year, whatever
comes first. Why don't you hear it more often? Because everyone
from the huge oil companies, right down to your local repair shop
and parts store want to sell you more oil, more often. Paper filters
are only made to last standard 7500 mile intervals that the automakers
say is required. They do not flow efficiently and they can easily
plug after the standard intervals, because they are cheply made.
Oh, don't get me wrong, if you change the petroleum oil and paper
filter every 3000-5000, or even 7500 miles, you should be just
fine. But why not make the switch to a product that reduces
costs in the longer run, uses engineered base oil stocks to
reduce internal friction and improve gas mileage, and dramatically
reduces our dependence on foreign oil? With AMSOIL automotive

It's as simple as it sounds:
To convert your automotive gas or diesel engine to AMSOIL, simply
pour in a can of AMSOIL Engine Flush and let the engine idle for
15 to 20 minutes. Immediately drain the oil pan and allow engine
to drain fully. Replace the drain plug, change your filter to
the AMSOIL Super Duty filter and add oil to the manufacturer's
recommendations. Check oil regularly and add as needed for the
first 5000 miles, while the engine seals and internal parts become
conditioned and operate more efficiently with AMSOIL synthetics.
Now, just change the filter at 12,500 miles or 6 months, but don't
drain the oil. You only need to replace about a quart after changing
filter. Then finish the interval to 25,000. Regular oil analysis
checks, using a mail-in kit from AMSOIL, allow you to track the
serviceability of your oil if you want to make it last as long
as possible. Some AMSOIL customers get 30, 50, or even 100 thousand
miles from a single oil change, with regular Super Duty filter
